Job description

Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, permanent opportunity for an HPLC Quality Control Supervisor with a Biotechnology company in the Greater Santa Rosa area. This position is eligible for both relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus!

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Reports to QC Manager and will have ~5 direct reports
• ~30% of workload will be analytical benchwork and troubleshooting instrumentation and team member inquiries with the remaining portion spent on lab operations, deadlines, and mentorship
• Create department metrics and ensure deliverables, such as turnaround time and GDPs, are executed accurately
• Serve as point-of-contact with cross-functional teams
• Ensure all team members are analyzing and documenting products according to company, client, and regulatory standards
• Delegate workload to QC techs and prioritize workflow, including scheduling requests
• Operate and maintain QC lab equipment, developing analyses and scheduling maintenance as required
• Review, verify, and document all QC activities and procedures

You are a great fit if you meet the following qualifications:

• Must have BS/MS in Life or Physical Sciences discipline
• Must have previous Industry QC experience
• Must have hands-on analytical and troubleshooting experience with both HPLC and UV-Vis
• Demonstrated team lead and/or supervisory experience is required
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
• Above average communication skills
• Must be able to work Monday - Friday ~1:00pm - 9:30pm
