At Heavenly Ski & Ride School we are all about getting our guests on the mountain and creating an Experience of a Lifetime. The lead position helps oversee daily operations of various Ski and Ride School locations. This position is heavily involved with sales, daily organization of reservations for the next day, guest service needs, and supervision of staff. *Responsibilities* * Assist in the daily operations of the Ski and Ride School: opening and closing procedures, lesson and lift ticket sales transactions, processing of advanced reservations lesson packets and inventory of supplies needed for operations * Conduct daily morning meetings, address operations and guest service needs by setting clear goals and objectives for staff; set and communicate daily assignments to front line team members * Help frontline staff with sales transactions and resolving guest service issues * Ensure a high level of guest service is maintained at all times * De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied guest, offering assistance and support to achieve a positive resolution * Responsible for the initial guest service needs * Responsible for processing all refunds on a daily basis, in person, at the location * Accurate cash handling and adherence to SOX regulations * Conduct frontline staff transaction audits to ensure procedures are followed * Work with team lead and managers on the coaching and counseling of team members as needed. * Keep location clean and well organized * Manage frontline staffing levels in order to meet lesson demands and meet budget goals * Cross-train and work in all areas of Product Sales and Services including guest services, season passes & lift tickets * Perform other duties as required *Job Requirements* * Knowledge of all Ski and Ride School products, policy & procedures, and Guest Connect functionality * Must be reliable, punctual, and always exhibit a professional attitude and appearance * Able to communicate effectively in a loud, fast-paced environment * Able to maintain composure under pressure. * Able to work independently and demonstrate team spirit. * Previous sales transaction and cash handling experience * Able to work all peak season periods, including holidays and weekends * High level of computer knowledge, including point of sales systems, Microsoft Office applications and email * Able work outside, stand for extended periods of time and lift at least 25 lbs. * Available to work the entire winter season (Nov-April) including holidays and weekends * Available to work at least 4 days a week. *Preferred Qualifications* * One year of experience supervising staff - preferred * High School Diploma or GED * A second language is a plus but not required * Love of skiing or snowboarding *Benefits Include* * Free employee and discounted dependent ski passes * Free employee ski and snowboard lessons * Discounted lift tickets for friends & family * Retail and food discounts, including $5.00 employee meals * Medical, Dental, and Vision plans (full-time positions) after achieving 750 hours with the company * 401(k) Retirement Plan employer contribution after achieving 750 hours with the company * Training and professional development *Reach Your Peak at Vail Resorts. *As a community of adventurers and discoverers, Vail Resorts delivers an experience of a lifetime to our guests and our employees.
