Job description

As our Human Resource Generalist, you'll be responsible for managing the daily retention, employee relations, and compensation administration of our number one asset, our People!

Monday- Friday 7am-4pm

What you'll do as an HR Generalist:

  • Take care of all employee relation matters with our package handlers and operations team members

  • Maintain a safe work environment

  • Assist with onboarding new team members

  • Focus on succession planning and career development for our team members

  • Coordinate and lead on-site recruitment efforts, open houses, local diversity and college career fairs.

  • Assist in development and maintenance of an approved departmental projects; Reward and Recognition Programs and employee engagement activities.

  • Assist in development and facilitation of management training programs to include sexual harassment, performance management, customer service, team building, supervisory training, and the new hire/employee orientation process.

  • Provide consultation and guidance about policy interpretation for federal and state labor issues.

  • Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.


What you need to be successful as an HR Generalist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (highly preferred)

  • PHR, SPHR preferred

  • 3 years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience

  • Experience working in warehouse highly preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with using HRIS systems (preferably Ulti-Pro)

  • Experience with pre-hire assessment tools like PI or Hire Select a huge plus.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel is required.
