If so, you might be the perfect person to head our new Public Relations and Marketing Manager role. Our ideal candidate not only has PR and Marketing experience, but they'll also bring some fun and personality to the position to help Hanna stand out from the (boring) crowd.

Since 2010, Hanna has grown from a start-up company to one of California's industry leaders in the interpretation and translation space. We achieved this feat without a Sales Department, but instead, through organic growth resulting from a focus on providing the best customer experience in the industry. Now, with our reputation for service excellence intact, we are ready to build a Public Relations and Marketing Department to harness all of the momentum we have created over the past 11 years.

We are looking for the right individual who can help us proactively expand and build brand awareness, nationwide.

Who is Hanna?

Hanna Interpreting is a woman and minority-owned small business, providing interpretation, translation, and transcription services nationwide. Headquartered in San Diego, California, we are committed to the success of our clients and their customers, and pride ourselves on meeting the needs of those with Limited English Proficiency.

Our clients are public & private sector (healthcare, education, legal, etc.) who need translation and interpreting services to connect with the people they serve. We match them with our language experts throughout California, covering over 200 languages.

We're known in the industry for always getting the job done. Whether a news agency urgently needs an interpreter to cover live breaking news, or a medical facility needs to assist limited-English-speaking patients - they call us because we have the experience and the relationships to make their jobs easier.

Our Public Relations and Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

• Leading the execution of marketing programs from start to finish.
• Developing Public Relations strategies and campaigns.
• Preparing press releases and promotional material.
• Proposal and bid writing.
• Nurturing leads through follow-ups, email marketing, maintaining the CRM, etc.

Compensation Details

Compensation is a mix of a salary and bonuses:

• Base Salary: $62,400 - $65,000
• Bonuses: Based on goals and work performance.

Work Environment

This job operates in a business casual environment. Or better yet - we have fun, but we get the job done. Our group is made up of positive, passionate, and persistent people who all believe in the company mission to make the world more inclusive through language and technology. We currently have about 15 team members working in office, and 30-or-so team members working from home. Prior to COVID-19, we would regularly get together after-hours for hang outs, company parties, and volunteer events. We are looking forward to resuming those activities in the near future.

Position Details

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some flexibility allowed. The position will work in-office with proper COVID-19 safety measures in place. Some Work-From-Home opportunities may also be provided after completion of a 90-day probationary period.
