Summary: The Finance Director is responsible for building and auditing the Huda Beauty financial business models for North America and eCommerce markets in close partnership with the General Manager - Americas and Head of eCcommerce. The role has responsibility for consolidating the regional sales, investment and overheads into country, regional P&Ls to give transparency and protect a profitable business model across the markets. The role is key to protecting the financial health of the business, identifying the opportunities to re-invest and risks associated with currency/stock management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Financial direction of the North America & eCommerce business
- Build and populate models to measure and protect rolling business success.
- Present monthly to Senior Team:
o P&Ls by country, region and International
o YTD performance/YTG targets vs. Budget
o Opportunities & risks
o Feedback sales-mix implications on profit (eg COG)
o Currency fluctuation impact
- Credit/debt management
- Be the partner with the General Manager for all external negotiations
- Build the 3-5 year plan for North America and eCommerce (across all channels)
- With the International Sales & Education Director, capture, report and monitor retail/wholesale monthly sales plans (forecasts and results) by channel and geography, flowing into regional and international reporting
- With the General Manager, capture, report and monitor investment plans by channel and geography. Highlight the impact of currency fluctuation on sales to allow investment modification in order to deliver agreed profit.
- Capture, monitor and manage the fixed overheads of the North America and eCommerce team units (ditto currency fluctuation impact as above).
- Participate into the regional S&OP process insuring proper regional alignment between financial forecast/unit sales forecast and inventory plans. Manage the fixed costs of logistics, and impact of inventory costs.
- Track the inventory value and the obsolescence risk, and insure that E&O remains in budget.
- Oversee international pricing structure with global team in Dubai.
- Ensure that each business unit is audit-worthy and manage the appropriate processes when required.
- Recruit, lead, coach and empower the regional Finance team to own the financial modeling which will support the teams to make optimal business decisions.
- Partner with key stakeholders in the rest of the organization to deliver optimal business and team support. Build strong, effective partnerships with both internal and external partners
Requirements
- 6-8 years of finance management experience, start-up/scale-up organization experience necessary
- Certified accountant
- B2B and B2C expertise, understanding of B2C model and importance of cashing sales
- Flexibility, resilience, and comfort navigating ambiguity - the tempo at Huda Beauty is fast and can pivot quickly, ability to thrive and lead a team in this environment.
- Proven success as kind and empathetic leader and coach/mentor with success in hiring and fostering growth of their team; ability to successfully motivate and challenge a team of talented and creative people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to roll up their sleeves and get things done, but also be a strategic leader with the ability to build integrated brand/marketing architecture and frameworks, and communicate this effectively to company leadership, the organization, the Board, and the global market.
- High levels of intellectual horsepower combined with empathy and emotional intelligence, the ability to listen to and learn from their team.
