Position Description (A brief overview of the overall purpose of the position)
As set by division goals, implements short and long range plans including objectives and strategies for the organization to maximize market potential and sales volume at both existing and new accounts. Primary focus will be in newer OEM market segments including: Agricultural, Construction and Medical. Creates and monitors sales forecasts and objectives. Develops, pursues and manages New Business opportunities (NBO's). Works and communicates closely with Sales Management, OEM Business Development, Customer Service, Planning, Quality Engineering and R&D Teams. Has signature authority within scope in setting and implementing sales objectives, budgets, etc.. Follows Inter-accountability Management and Internal Controls processes and procedures. Supports policies & procedure to promote continuous improvements to the quality of the product.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales by locating and selling products to new companies, nurturing sales, and selling new products to existing clients. In this role, the Regional Sales Manager will:
- Meet or exceed all sales related goals
- Prioritize activity by analyzing the territory/market segment potential and determining existing and potential customer's value to the company.
- Prepare monthly Bookings Forecast and monthly Sales Report including sales funnel.
- Prepare quotations, system descriptions, presentation and other marketing material as needed to support sales process
- Plan and organize personal sales strategy to maximize the return on time investment for sales results
- Research sales history and status of existing customer's current products and potential needs for new products
- Develop and deliver effective and compelling sales presentations and product demonstration at customer's locations
- Attend events, trade shows and other appropriate networking opportunities to extend and promote company, our capabilities and products.
- Participate in departmental sales forecasting and planning.
- Make immediate appropriate follow-up to all inquiries by email, phone or text, etc.
- Expedite the resolution of customer concerns
- Write informative and timely trip reports.
- Enter all required data into the CRM system within determined time frames.
- Maintain regular contact and productive communication with all involved parties including customers, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, accounting and management as appropriate.
- Keep updated technical knowledge of the company products and applications.
- Collect and provide market information about customers, applications and competition.

Relevant Experience
8 years' experience with significant experience in sales to OEM accounts.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Background in transducer/load cells or sensors a plus
