POSITION SUMMARY:

Support Technician in the Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Department is responsible for identifying spare parts, ordering and maintaining parts inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Maintenance Support Technician will maintain a spares inventory tracking software and a computer maintenance management system database. This job function is necessary to sustain the production automation equipment lines. This person will provide administrative and logistics support for system maintenance and parts procurement.
  • Maintain equipment spares inventory software application
  • Maintain equipment maintenance tracking software
  • Request vendor parts quote and submit purchase order requisition
  • Locate parts supplier and order parts on-line
  • Create equipment critical parts Bill of Materials (BOM) lists
  • Stock spare parts and take inventory inside the FAB area

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 2-4 years of related work experience

Knowledge and skills:

  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • A minimum of 2 year direct related experience working with Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and/or database/date entry experience
  • Ability to create spreadsheet in Excel to perform data tracking and analysis
  • Ability to analyze equipment spare parts to compile relevant reports
  • Ability to order spare parts with the appropriate vendor/suppliers (e.g. initiate RFQs and place PR/PO)
  • Have knowledge of automation equipment, hardware, and spare parts BOMs
  • Strong computer skills to help support automation spares and maintenance software databases
  • Stocking of equipment parts in a high volume FAB environment

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2yr Associates degree preferred
  • Auditing or compliance experience
  • Project Coordination experience
