The Planner/Scheduler is part of Global Supply Chain Management and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. Cepheid’s Global Supply Chain Management team is dedicated to the success of our diagnostic patients and customers, and is dedicated to making molecular diagnostics available everywhere they are needed, when they are needed.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Oversee master schedules for production and new product, ensuring comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing. Incorporate in forecasts and master production schedules.
• Incorporate new products or product improvements into the manufacturing forecasts and master production schedules.
• Execute master production schedules relative to shelf life, inventory guidelines and requirements.
• Determine ERP driven material requirements and creates production execution schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels.

Minimum requirements:

Education or Experience (in years):

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR
• Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR

Knowledge and skills:

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Preferred SAP experience.
• Detailed understanding of master production scheduling, capacity planning and forecasting principals.
• Experience with SOPs, GMP, ISO, JIT, MRP.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• APICS certification, CPIM preferred.
• Medical device manufacturing experience.
• SQL and Visio experience valued.
