Kelly Science & Clinical is excited to be hiring a temporary Senior Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator for a Biotechnology Manufacturing Company in Sunnyvale, CA! The Senior EHS Coordinator will provide general administration and management of the EHS Programs! General duties will include setting up and scheduling meetings/trainings, handling appointment schedules, supporting EHS initiatives and working the EHS management and engineers, data entry, purchase requisitioning and tracking, expense reporting, supervising spending against budget, coordinating department purchase orders, document/file management, etc.

Essential job responsibilities:
  • Ensure site EHS compliance and management systems is in compliance with governmental and company requirements systems while maintaining associated documentation
  • Complete the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation
  • Partner with site leaders to continuously improve the safety culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS programs
  • Work with site EHS committees, as well as the Emergency Response and Crisis Management teams
  • Evaluate proposed Federal, state, and local EHS compliance laws and regulations to evaluate impact to compliance programs and business operations
  • Interpret laws and regulations to decide applicability for facilities of responsibility and implement programs to comply
  • Support environmental compliance metrics including Storm, hazardous material management, Air permits, Life Safety, Hazardous Wastes, Form R reporting, Spill Prevention Countermeasures and Control Programs and chemical tracking and inventory programs
  • Complete audits, IH sampling, ergonomic assessments, and assists in pollution prevention activities.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor of Masters degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or equivalent with 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Or A combination of work experience and certifications which would demonstrate Industry experience to show proficiency in EHS functions.
  • Ability to address complex problems by: actively seeking information and new insights from a variety of sources, consistently looking for novel ways to take on problems, and mastering unfamiliar information, tasks, and situations quickly and effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of organization
  • Strong computer-based skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and highly proficient in Excel and data analysis
