Job description
* 10 Month Contract Opportunity
* Compensation: $100 - $150/hr
* Location: 1266 Kifer Rd, Sunnyvale, California 94086

Primary Function of Position:
This individual will create and modify detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product
* Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards
* Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation. Drawings may be electrical or mechanical
* May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage. Assembles complex electromechanical assemblies that includes elements of motion control, vision, electronics, mechanical, pneumatics, and vision
* Writes assembly work instructions. Coordinates the machining and modification of parts either in-house or at an offsite machine shop
* May build cables as well
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
* Proven work experience as a Drafter/Designer or similar role
* Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
* BSc in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college
* Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
* Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus
* Excellent knowledge of architectural and engineering design principles
* Solid math and analytical skills
* The ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
