Position Description:

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Prepare and maintain Production Orders and other documents/materials. Dispatch and prioritize work to the shop, follow and communicate manufacturing status, expedite their completion, and take corrective action to complete items on schedule.

WORKING PROCEDURE:
The following are the usual major job duties but this description does not preclude the performance of the other duties by the incumbent, nor the question being raised on the proper rate for the assignment:

Prepare and maintain Production Orders and Shop Travelers. Review, update and correct/communicate any deficiencies on the Production Order/Shop Traveler
Prepare and process documents such as salvage sheets, shipping documents, 5505, tooling requests, material requests, hardware status reports, move tags, shop dispatch list, etc.
Dispatch and prioritize work to the shop floor with required material, tooling, NC Programs, and all paperwork as well as expedite other departments to obtain material to support schedules and shop efficiencies. Maintain a follow system for all staged and released work.
Communicate scheduled need dates, promise dates, material shortages, nonconformances, work around plans and other problems affecting the timely completion of a job
Expedite the following documents such as D1149s, 112Cs, and Quality Notifications (QNs), Ordinance Document (OD), Quality Assurance Provision (QAP) and pending Revision Notices (RN's) needed to keep the material on schedule
Attend and participate in production meetings
Utilize the SAP System and other electronic tools to query Production Orders, material status, etc.
Perform work of equal or lower level as required

This is Union represented position.

Position located in Sunnyvale, CA.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Two or more years of Production Control experience in a large/heavy manufacturing environment or related NG experience in departments such as Quality Control Engineering, Shipping and Receiving to gain familiarity and understanding of the Division's procedures, policies, facilities and capabilities
Must have demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively with others and follow through to completion of assigned tasks
Must know manufacturing methods, processes and machine tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of SAP or MRP system
Microsoft Product suite
