Quality Control Analyst

Job description

We're excited to be hiring a Quality Control Analyst Microbiologist for an innovate biotechnology startup in Thousand Oaks, CA! The QC Analyst will be contributing to the sample collection, environmental monitoring, and product testing as needed!

Responsibilities

• Performs microbiological sample testing for environmental, gowning, and manufacturing operations. Support includes data entry (LIMS) and data analysis.
• Executes microbiological testing related to bioburden- membrane filtration, endotoxin, and growth promotion testing.
• Assists with in-house microbial identification (MALDI-TOF) and external sterility and mycoplasma testing including coordination of sample shipments and receipt of final results from test labs.
• Conducts product release testing in support of manufacturing operations according to SOP's and Test Methods in compliance with cGMP.
• Support new and existing equipment and test method development/validation which may include creation and/or review of IQ, OQ, PQ protocols and reports as well as standard operating procedures.
• Ensures maintenance and calibration of equipment including controlled temperature environments, analytical equipment, pipettes, etc.
• Documents, technically evaluates, interprets data and trend results.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or other relevant fields in life sciences preferred OR A.S. in Biotechnology
• Experience with cGMP environments and associated documentation requirements
• 1-2 years minimum experience in a Quality Control Laboratory environment.
• Solid understanding of QC principles and procedures in microbiology such as environmental and bioburden monitoring as well as microbial identification
• Phenomenal teammate with positive energy and dedication to meet project timelines

Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM
