Job description

Biomedical Engineering Director

T2 Tech is looking for a Biomedical Engineering Director to supervise the daily operations of the technical service team and ensures strict compliance with product quality assurance, equipment and procedural standards, health and safely protocols and engineering specifications. The Manager provides direction and management of the Biomed department, participates in the pre-purchase evaluation process for medical equipment, manages and provides leadership in financial matters regarding budgeting and cost control and revenue generation.

Responsibilities:

* Directs the day-to-day Biomed Engineering operations.
* Supervises and has oversight of the Biomed Engineering Technicians.
* Responsible in assuring all medical equipment is inventoried and maintained in accordance to all federal, local and any other regulatory requirements.
* Assists with new equipment procurement selection, projects related to medical equipment and installations.
* Directs, coordinates and governs all functions related to safety testing, repair and maintenance of all biomedical patient care equipment.
* Supports the equipment needs of all specialty areas including Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Respiratory Therapy and others.
* Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
* Responsible for resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

* Develops, documents, implements and monitors team processes that provides for effective and efficient support of customers.

Requirements

* Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical, Clinical, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
* Master's degree preferred
* Six years Biomedical experience with an additional two years in a supervisory capacity
* Excellent technical knowledge of a broad range of medical devices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Excellent understanding and experience using computers, software and the use of equipment management databases.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good understanding of human physiology as it relates to the use of medical devices.
* Works well in a team-based environment.
* Consulting experience is preferred
