The Human Resources Coordinator is directly responsible for supporting the AutoNation Talent Acquisition and on-boarding processes, as well as supporting on-going Associate transactions and general Human Resource administrative responsibilities. The Human Resources Coordinator will provide applicants, associates, Hiring Managers, and the Human Resources team with excellent customer service and response based on predefined service level agreements.

This position will support the West Coast Region and will be working on PST time zone. R emote work options are available.

Who would I interact with?

The Human Resources Coordinator has the opportunity to interact virtually with new and existing AutoNation Associates to assist them with their on-boarding experience. This position interacts closely with Region HR Director, Market HR Managers and Recruiters, as well as Store Hiring Managers and the National Payroll Shared Services team.

This role reports within the Corporate HRIS team directly to the Supervisor, HR Shared Services.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Disposition candidates throughout the pre-employment and on-boarding processes to ensure a timely and smooth candidate experience
  • Daily monitoring of Talent Acquisition System to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Partner with Hiring Managers, Recruiters and Market HR Managers to ensure accurate and timely processing for applicants, candidates and new hires
  • Audit requisitions to ensure consistency and accuracy across all regions
  • Process Associate On-boarding paperwork including New Hires, Rehires, Transfers and Position Changes
  • Unemployment claim management - respond, track , and ensure compliance
  • Track Employee Referrals
  • Report on key metrics to support the business
  • Process and scan Associate Transactions to ensure employee records are accurate
  • Maintain reporting manager assignments
  • Worker's Compensation claim tracking , compliance, reporting and maintenance
  • Partner with Workers' Compensation third-party administrator to close claims within an acceptable time frame
  • Leaves of Absence tracking , compliance and reporting
  • Provide project support for various initiatives in HR
What are the requirements for this job?
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Two plus years of related work experience preferred
  • Call center experience preferred
  • Ability to work within predefined Service Level Agreements
  • Experience providing quality customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency
  • Familiarity with Human Resource practices, as well as knowledge of compliance for state and federal regulations preferred
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Systems, and strong Microsoft Office skills, including: Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organization and follow-up skills
