Kelly Services is currently seeking a Formulation Chemist for a Contract-to-Hire role in Vernon, CA.

Job Title: Formulation Chemist

Pay: $30 - 50 per hour depending on experience

This is a contract-to-hire position with full benefits

Nutraceutical/Dietary Supplement Formulator
We are looking for a creative and self-motivated Formulator who can apply their skills, knowledge, and experiences to create new dietary supplement and beverage products that connect to consumers to deliver targeted benefits focused on overall wellness, energy, sports nutrition, weight loss, meal replacements and immune booster among others.

Responsibilities:
• Product formulation and development of wellness products.
• Structure and Function and Health claims development and substantiation.
• Create Supplement Facts and Nutrition Facts panel as needed to comply with FDA
Labeling requirements.
• Establish manufacturing SOPS's to meet cGMP compliance requirements.
• Formula costing and analysis to meet targeted Unit Cost of Goods (COGs).
• Formula Readiness Review (FRR) to define challenges and solutions for getting the
product properly made, tested and labeled.
• Create Test protocols for Manufacturing to release products to market per
FDA test and compliance requirements.
• Create and complete documents necessary for FDA Labelling and Product
Registrations.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a Science discipline preferably in Food and Sports Nutrition.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the nutraceutical and wellness
industries.
• Manufacturing experience in liquid dietary supplements and liquid and powder
mixes.
