Job Description

Masters Intern, located in Foster City.

The intern assignment includes providing analytical, consultative and advisory services to Corporate Function and Regional HR Business Partners and Managers and working with HRBPs and HR Manager/Generalist to drive HR strategy, priorities and programs enabling leaders to attain their business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner

  • Provide planning and analytical support as needed to HRBPs for HR related projects and initiatives, specific projects could include work on Workforce Strategy, Annual Performance reviews, Focus Groups and Employee Survey.
  • Partner with HRBPs and COEs to advise, support and train managers on addressing and dealing with employee related issues.
  • Interpret data to identify trends and develop strategies to improve
  • Work closely with internal counterparts for successful planning and delivery of HR programs and services.

Workforce Strategy
  • Work with the HR team to create and manage the workforce plan and support execution.
  • Manage requests on headcount activities as per the approval matrix.
  • Partner with the HR Analytics and Talent Acquisition team to address issues identified within the Workforce Plan.
  • Support job code clean up initiatives
  • Assist with backfill/promotion

Annual Performance Reviews
  • Assist with the Annual Review process, specifically working with HR teams to evaluate performance rating distributions and assist with related manager training activities

Employee Survey
  • Assist in the analysis of Employee survey data, identifying key trends and recommended actions.

3 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or graduate studies in HR related field or MBA

Preferred Qualifications:
  • HR generalist experience
  • Experience in an international company

Competencies:
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and complex environments
  • Strong project management skills; Manages demanding goals with a project/consulting mindset and to a high standard
  • Good numerical and analytical skills; strong Excel skills a plus
  • Solid communication and relationship building skills; Connects with people and flexes style accordingly


Qualifications

Basic Qualification
  • Students pursuing a Master's Degree with a graduation date in 2023 or later
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years HR generalist experience
  • Experience in an international company
