Are you looking for a non-traditional banking opportunity? Beal Bank is seeking a full time Assistant Branch Manager. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. We are a wholesale bank with a focus on deposits and related services. Our branch product lines are limited to money market accounts, certificates of deposit (including individual retirement accounts) and statement savings accounts. Loan origination experience is not necessary and there are no sales requirements.
The Assistant Branch Manager is part of a small hands-on team and will work directly with customers.

Summary:
The Retail Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in overseeing the service and operations of a retail branch location. This involves performing a variety of duties to ensure quality customer service, achievement of branch objectives, efficient and effective operations, and compliance with all bank policies and procedures. This position supervises and leads the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities ( Include but are not limited to):
● Assumes management responsibility in the absence of the Branch Manager.
● Participate in CRA activities ensuring that all monthly goals are met or exceeded.
● Assists in managing customer service objectives including handling exceptions, complex issues, and complaints; monitoring and coaching of branch personnel. Handling of disciplinary action in a timely manner as needed.
● Performs and supervises day to day operational and compliance functions of the branch such as reconcilements, audits, reporting, controls, records management, approvals and opening/closing procedures.
● Motivate and encourage employees and ensure they have appropriate knowledge of all bank products.
● Participates in personnel decisions as appropriate including hiring, scheduling, disciplinary actions and evaluating performance.

● Minimum 5 years banking experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a management or supervisory role.
● High School Diploma or equivalent required.
● Adaptability to change.
● Professional appearance and demeanor.
● Proficiency with 10 key touch, Microsoft Office and banking software applications.
● Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
● Strong attention to detail with high concern for data accuracy.
● Customer service orientation with effective problem solving abilities and the ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers and internal team members.
● Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
● Developed critical thinking and decision making skills.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
● Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
● Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and achieve results through working together.
● Overnight and out of town travel is possible on occasion.
● Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
