Job description

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources with a variety of Human Resources functions. He/she ensures all records and postings are compliant with state/federal laws, enforces company policies and assists with team member benefits. This position follows closely all HR processes and monitors missing documentation.

Duties & Functions:

• Approach all encounters with guests and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
• Explain benefits enrolment and provide assistance to all team members.
• Administer new hire process: scheduling interviews, calling candidates, process pre employment documents and ensuring all required HR documents are completed and accurate (requisition, background check, offer letter etc.) -- must insure steps are followed in a timely manner.
• Conduct prescreening interviews.
• Administer the termination process and prepare all HR documents for the termination interview.
• Administer I9 compliance
• Prepare necessary documents for new hire packages.
• Administer accurately the payroll system with new hires, changes and terminations
• Must ensure all reports are being completed for any workers compensation injury and may assist the manager in monitoring the claim & medical follow up at the clinic.
• Monitor and maintain applicable logs for leaves of absence, required trainings, orientation, etc.
• Respond to unemployment claims, maintain unemployment logbook.
• Ensure all legal posting are up to date.
• Ensure team member bulletin boards are up-to-date
• Organize and coordinate team member weekly/monthly trainings and events.
• Participate in the Safety Committee
• Assist with special projects; planning employee events (meetings, picnics, parties). Other duties as required by Director of Human Resources

Education and Experience

College degree required (preferably with focus in Human Resources)

2 - 3 years administrative experience (hospitality experience preferred)

Ability to move from part time to full time hours
