Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Description

Position will focus on electrical design work and creating CAD models and drawings. Will work on build prototypes and test equipment for testing and components and troubleshooting.

* Generate schematics to satisfy system requirements.
* Ensure proper integration of electrical components in EV/HEV applications.
* Participate in peer review of designs.
* Generate harness layout, wire list and Bill Of Material for use in sourcing and production/fabrication.
* Check and Submit production drawings to document control.
* Support fabrication and installation of wire harness in vehicles.
* Interface with other engineering departments to provide information and documentation of electrical systems.
* Support service in diagnostic and repair activities.
* Support commission activities of electrical systems in vehicle.
* Able to work on multiple projects with limited supervision and coordinate/perform in team activities.

Required Education and Experience

* A Bachelors' Degree is a requirement for this role. A BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred, other engineering degrees can be considered.
* Manager is seeking candidates with at least 5 years' related working experience. He needs candidates with actual "boots on the ground" working experience. Candidates with experience only as it relates to their education and/or projects are not a fit for this opening.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in Automotive or related field (e.g. Aerospace).
* Strong experience in installation/routing and proper securing of wire harnesses in vehicles
* Experience in wire harness design and fabrication from Concept to Volume Production
* High voltage DC (600V+) and low voltage DC wiring experience
* Experienced with electrical schematic creation software (e.g.: Visio, Creo-Schematic, etc)
* Familiar with HV and LV automotive connector construction, wire crimping from 22AWG up to '00' size
* Proficient with industry standard electrical Test Equipment (e.g.: D.M.M.)
* Knowledge of requirements for automotive electronic components

Desired Experience

* Experience with HV traction battery systems preferred
* Electro/Mechanical Design Engineering
* 3D CAD modeling experience; wire harness 3D modeling.
* Knowledge of the implementation of sensors and actuators in an automotive application
* Knowledge of SAE J1939 and CAN 2.0 harnesses and components that utilize CAN communication
