CAPTRUST is an investment management-advisory firm headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. We provide investment advisory services to retirement plan fiduciaries, endowments and foundations and wealth planning services to executives, business owners, and families.

Position Overview

CAPTRUST is seeking a Financial Advisor to serve and grow a million dollar+ institutional consulting practice in Los Angeles, CA. The Financial Advisor role is responsible for building and servicing a practice serving small and mid-market retirement plan clients, including qualified plan sponsors, fiduciaries, key executives in nonqualified plans and plan participants - to include 401(k), 403(b), defined benefit, and nonqualified.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and close new client relationships. (At least $150,000 in new contracts per year)
  • Make sales presentations to individuals and committees
  • Set prospect meetings; minimum three per week
  • Cross-sell CAPTRUST services to existing clients
  • Develop relationships with COIs and other referral sources
  • Provide fiduciary advice to existing client relationships
  • Conduct and document quarterly portfolio/account reviews
  • Provide education and advice programs for plan participants
  • Travel is required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; major in Business Administration, Marketing or Finance preferred
  • 5 years of direct selling experience in the Financial Service industry
Highly Desired Qualifications/Skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • High standard of professionalism
  • Looking to develop a long-term career in the investment/financial services industry
  • Able to work independently
  • Securities licenses e.g. Series 65, 66, 7
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Client Relationship Management (CRM) software experience
Compensation

Salary range $60,000 to $75,000 (plus bonus) to start depending on experience and geography. Assuming acceptable performance, salary will likely be maintained for two years as practice grows. Salary replaced by payout on production in year three. Long-term, the upside opportunities are at the top of the financial services industry - including equity ownership.

Also interested in advisors with books of business and willing to grow. Compensation relative to experience.
