The ideal candidates are motivated team players with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and master all aspects of servicing PV solar systems.
Job Summary
The Solar PV Installer is responsible for address all service and monitoring aspects of a PV solar system. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with a strong work ethic and safety. This position will work staff, clients, and independently to correct service issues.

Job Title: Solar Service Technician

Hourly Range: DOE
Status: Full time/ Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Shift Hours: 8-hr. shifts M - F, with possible overtime.

Job Summary

Job Duties
- Call customers and schedule service calls.
- Enter Service call notes in CRM and service tracker.
- Call manufactures as needed to troubleshoot systems and assign case numbers.
- Walk customer through their monitoring questions or concerns.
- Able to assist field service technicians as needed.
- Assist in all areas of preventative and corrective maintenance as directed by management with minimal supervision.
- Respond to corrective maintenance cases on PV inverters, string boxes, and solar panels. Including troubleshooting, testing, and repairing activities as needed.
- Climb up on roofs and ensure safety measures are met as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, will accept equivalent work experience.
- Basic knowledge of solar installation a must.
- 1-2 years of similar experience is preferred.
- 1 year of electrical experience.
- Data Entry and Customer Service skills.
- Must have some solar monitoring and commissioning knowledge.
- Excellent customer service communication skills.
- Must have a positive attitude!
- Can assist field technicians as needed.
- Pipe & electrical knowledge and/or experience is required.
- Ability to work with power tools and basic hand tools.
- Reliability and good attendance is required.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Required to have a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screening.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be authorized to legally work in the US.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work full time in the outside elements and inclement weather (heat & cold).
- Ability to climb stairs, scaffolding, ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, squat, reach, and move 6+ hrs. at a time.
- Ability to lift, move, and/or carry items in excess of 50 lbs.
- Must have full range of motion and/or mobility in both upper and lower body.
- Finger dexterity and mobility to walk on uneven terrain and roof tops.
