Job description

SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow and complete the Manager in Training Program within 3 months, with a District Manager assessment and graduation- Complete all necessary Cornerstone trainings, WebX VILT sessions as assigned by the Training Manager
- Communicate the stores weekly and monthly sales information
- Motivate and work together with employees to meet and exceed daily sales goals
- Assist with the administration of employee onboarding/evaluations
- Inform employees of new updates and general developments in the company, including but not limited to updating the Store Dashboard
- Help ensure that inventory backstock is adequate and help manage inventory properly
- Assist the Store Manager/Asst Store Manager with employee schedules and assists with managing employee work hours and vacation requests, as directed in MIT Outline
- Accountable for accurately utilizing Lightshade Point of Sale system
- Participate along with the Store Manager in evaluating applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with Human Resources; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established company policies and procedures
- Support the Store Manager by monitoring the activities of the store employees to maximize efficiency, minimize errors and respond to customer's needs in a timely fashion
- Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Director of Operations & COO of Lightshade
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
- Solid organizational and communication skills, the Manager in Training must be able to fully support all aspects of the store, including but not limited to: making store schedules, compliance items, interviewing, training new employees, ordering the product, inventory control, loss prevention, etc.
- Ability to partner with Store Manager/Asst Store Manager on all operational matters
- Ability to work with vendors and agencies to produce results
- Basic Microsoft Office, Point of Sale software, cash management and banking knowledge is required
- Strong attention to detail and must have a team-player mentality
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to employees and vendors maintaining a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to creatively cultivate long-term customer relationships
- Ability to deal with problems and resolve in a professional manner
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations by supervising store a minimum of 5 full shifts per week, including weekends, evening, and holiday shifts
- METRC champion and signed up for continued METRC training courses, knowledge to investigate into audits and
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- BA/BS degree preferred or an additional 2 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- 2+ years' experience in retail required; must have at least 1 year of experience in a management role within a retail or customer service environment
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be able to obtain a Key badge through the Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
This position assumes the responsibility of store management while the Store and Assistant Managers are out of the store. Supervisory control includes First Key, Bud Tenders, Front Desk, Inventory Control
GUIDELINES:
Guidelines include the personnel and operational manuals; state, local, and federal laws, regulations, and ordinances. Guidelines are received from the Compliance manual, SOP, and employee handbook.

Benefits:
In addition to your compensation, you will be eligible to receive any benefits which are offered to all full-time Lightshade employees. The employer will pay $250.00 towards Employee Health Insurance, Dental insurance in which the employer will pay half of the employee cost, the employee pays for Vision and Aflac. These benefits are available after 60 days. The company pays Life at 1 x your annual salary and Short-Term Disability. We offer a 401k program, with a 6% match after 90 days. Lightshade offers Vacation time at 80 hours accrued in the first year, 120 hours during the third year, and 160 after four years of service. Sick time is at 80 hours per year. Both are a maximum of 160 hours of accruals.
All new employees will serve a 90-day probationary period to enable the COO of Lightshade, the Director of Operations, and the District Manager to determine their suitability as an employee.
