What You'll Do
The Marketing Strategist, Employee Benefits will manage marketing efforts for IMA and its partners Employee Benefits divisions. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing of Employee Benefits, this position will work closely with the Employee Benefits Sales and Service teams, Enterprise, and Growth Operations Marketing teams to define and execute strategy.
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop a deep understanding of IMA Employee Benefit's target customers, their expectations and needs and create impactful marketing programs based on this understanding
- Help to identify and define the positioning and messaging of IMA Employee Benefits - nationally & regionally
- Create and manage internal (sales, service teams, EB leadership, etc.) communication pipeline to gain insight into the Employee Benefits marketplace, beyond pricing, including Human Resource topics and emerging trends, such recruitment/retention, culture, voluntary benefits, and technology
- Partner with Growth Operations to create a lead generation pipeline to support organic revenue goals
- Work with the Creative Center of Excellence to develop best-in-class advertising assets across mediums
- Work with sales leadership to ensure producers have the tools and training needed to effectively sell
- Own the development of impactful sales enablement material
- Allocate budget dollars wisely to pursue optimal client segments, ensure proper ROI on Marketing budget spend
- Identify and effectively leverage data and analytics to drive prospecting, sales and client retention
- Build a regular update cadence with relevant leadership on campaign impacts, plan deliverables, and timelines
- Proactively drive coordination with Enterprise Marketing team to deliver integrated plans nationally and regionally
- Work within the overall Brand Strategy for IMA and modify branding to align with IMA Partner guidelines
You Should Have:
- 8-10 years of marketing, with insurance experience preferred
- A strong understanding of how Marketing supports strategic and operating goals, specifically revenue growth
- Proven ability to leverage data to create compelling and clear narrative
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
- Extensive experience with tactics in the marketing mix, including hands-on experience with key tooling (HubSpot)
- Experience with paid and organic search, programmatic display, and paid social media channels and their platforms such as Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, Google AdWords
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products and other programs
- The willingness to complete additional duties and take on additional responsibilities as the need arises
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Extra consideration will be given to candidates with advanced degrees (MBA, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits
