Scion Nonprofit, has been engaged to conduct a search for an Office Assistant for our amazing faith-based client located 30 minutes south of Denver, CO! Our client is a Christian church well known for its openness to all and its focus on social, economic, and other forms of justice. This incredible contract-to-hire opportunity is on-site, full-time, and ready for immediate hire!

This position with our client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. As a cautionary measure, our client is asking all employees to be fully vaccinated by the date of hire. If an eligible candidate is unable to get the COVID-19 vaccine due to a religious, medical, or disability-related reason the client will make available appropriate reasonable accommodations.

This Office Assistant will provide efficient and responsive support in a variety of ways to the Pastor/Reverend of the church, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, coordinating high-level meetings like Board meetings and other administrative tasks.

  • Competitive hourly pay of $20-$22/hour depending on experience!
  • Health benefits and paid sick leave are available while on assignment!
  • Full-time: M-F, 9am-5pm with the possibility to start immediately!
  • In office role near Centennial, CO with masks and PPE on site!
  • This contract-to-hire role has a strong possibility to turn into a permanent role!
Responsibilities Of This Position Include
  • Handle mass mailings, from the design and content to printing and stuffing envelopes or emailing out via MailChimp (physical and digital)
  • Work with church leaders and members across five states to get content that is relevant and updated for newsletters and other communications.
  • Update content on the back end of the website.
  • Coordinate/help manage relevant Board correspondence, coordinating Board meetings and handling meeting materials like packets, minutes, etc.
What You Need
  • Experience as an Administrative or Office Assistant directly supporting an executive leader.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and have strong attention to detail.
  • Fantastic editing and proofreading skills that include high-level knowledge of grammar and punctuation.
  • Tech-savvy! Excellent computer skills along with experience with Dropbox, MailChimp, Excel, and Word. Ability to set up technology for meetings.
  • Experience working for nonprofits.
  • Ability to represent the Pastor/Reverend and the organization in a positive manner in all engagements, whether in-person or in-writing, etc.
