Oil & Gas Accounts Payable Specialist

Job description

One of Denver's leading oil and gas companies is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in their downtown Denver, Colorado office location. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience, and an understanding of the oil and gas industry.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

• Code a high volume of invoices
• Ensure early pay deadlines are met
• Reconcile imports from OpenInvoice to Quorum and document and discrepancies
• Code monthly expense reports and ensure payments are made in a timely manner
• Maintain the existing coding workbook with notes
• Ability to research payment issues and work with the AP Supervisor to get them resolved
• Assist with various other AP tasks and projects, as needed

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3 years' experience in oil and gas or Accounts Payable
• Adequate understanding of OpenInvoice and OpenTicket
• Experience with Quorum preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
