The Vice President Network Implementation - South leads the Network Operations functions of Transport, Infrastructure and IP networks. This role will encompass the day to day responsibilities of break/fix, planned activities and operations engineering. Centralized team that owns and drives network builds, strategic investments, and aligns standards and strategy for the fiber-based and/or copper-based services
Lead short and long-term strategy to improve EBITDA performance and the enablement of profitable revenue. Tactical situation resolution requiring daily involvement in tactical operations and leading people management responsibilities. Oversees the implementation of operational best practices and objectives across multiple groups. Leadership and team development through mentoring managers, directors and upcoming leaders collectively and in one on one sessions. Meet with stakeholders and internal customers to develop, align, and review operational targets and projects, measure end-to-end performance, assess all opportunities, and investigate system and process improvements, identify and communicate business value.
The Network Implementation team is responsible for:
• Capacity Resolution - Includes the tactical planning and solutions engineering for sold customer orders requiring additions or augments to the network
• Network Deployment - Physical deployment of all new additions and augments of all existing network components
• Network Commissioning and Testing - Logical configurations, testing, and acceptance of all new and augments of all existing network components
• Implementation Project Management - Responsible for management of all network projects from scope validation, date management, milestone management, and internal/external communications
• Outside Plant Construction Services - Includes management of all building adds, outside plant augments, building access agreements, right-of-way and 3rd party asset acquisition, and fiber inventory of the NA network
• Strategic Expansion - Responsible for all market expansions in support of Sales or Network Planning, the AMO market build-out program, as well as all large customer network building programs
• ROW (right of way) and third party acquisitions and network inventory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well organized and demonstrates an understanding of operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, General or Business
- 12+ years of experience with 5+ years in a leadership role
