Job description

  • Entry Level Position
  • Hourly position, rate dependent on experience
  • Reports to Logistics and Routing Manager
  • Logistics and planning experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools required and Roadnet, MapPoint or other relative mapping software
  • Responsible for Creating routes for all service locations and pushing those routes to the Roadnet system
  • Responsible for data review on all customers to determine delivery frequency
  • Responsible for routing of any new customers to the most efficient route
  • Data mining to find inefficiencies on current routes
  • Manages workload including review of open or incomplete workorders daily and finding resolution
  • Call Center support during working hours, taking calls and dispatching customer calls when needed
  • Call Center support for service during normal work hours when experiencing high call volumes and dispatching as needed
  • Entry into TIMS of calls received
  • Works closely with Director of Safety, Quality & Compliance to ensure DOT, hours of service, OSHA, ISBT, etc. requirements are all met and fully compliant
  • Workload requires:
  • Creating Routes for the Week & day to day review for better processes.
  • Answering Customer Calls, assessing needs, with follow up ETA.
  • Correspond with Drivers making arrangements providing instructions for shipment and delivery orders.
  • Constant rescheduling of routes based on call volume
  • Provide customers with status updates
  • Conduct research to address shipping errors
  • Create value-added customer service team that consistently over-delivers customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
2. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
