INDO EXPO seeks articulate, sharp, and self-motivated individuals to hire as Business Development Specialists to join us in the fastest growing industry in the US. Qualified candidates will be trained to acquire new clients, up-sell existing clients, and maintain account relationships. With two show dates per year, Denver, Colorado in January, and Portland, Oregon In August, this position is a full-time opportunity with unlimited earning potential. Complete with a package including a base salary, uncapped commission structure, and favorable incentive programs in place, the sky's the limit!

INDO EXPO is focused on building Business to Business (B2B) relationships and providing a professional platform for producers, processors, wholesalers, and retailers. INDO EXPO supports the growth of the Cannabis Industry by bringing together industry professionals from around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of INDO EXPO events and services
  • Prospect and contact multiple new accounts daily via cold-calling, self-lead generation and email/e-marketing
  • Record all lead and prospect interaction and update any changes in existing accounts into the INDO EXPO CRM system.
  • Attend cannabis industry events to network, prospect, and represent INDO EXPO. (Frequent travel throughout the U.S. is required.)
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets subject to monthly evaluations
  • Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria provided during training
  • Contribute to every component of the critical functions associated with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, customer database maintenance and data entry, correspondence, and communications).

Required Skills:

  • 2-3 years of outbound B2B sales call experience
  • High volume cold-calling experience with proven results
  • Exceptional knowledge of the current state of the Cannabis Industry nationwide
  • A thorough understanding of the multitude of related ancillary businesses involved to get a Cannabis plant to grow, a Cannabis shop to run, and a Cannabis grow facility to be built
  • Great communication skills coupled with an exceptional ability to 'think on your feet'
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, web-based demonstrations, shared calendars, and instant messaging, as well as with office software such as Word and Excel and their Google equivalents
  • Superior objection handling capabilities
  • As this is a job that involves representing INDO EXPO at various Cannabis shows across the nation, a presentable appearance and friendly demeanor is vital
