CAREERLINK PRESENTS.... The role of COMPENSATION ANALYST - US TEAM

With 70 stores in the US, 1500 locations across the globe, this major food-industry "player" is diligently searching for a HIGHLY-SKILLED Compensation Analyst for their U.S. Human Resources team.

The Compensation Analyst will lead the analytical, technical, and administrative functions for all the North American brands including base, pay, short and long-term incentive programs and other programs to ensure they are competitive within the market. This positon will also administer equity programs and oversee the annual bonus, merit and equity planning.

(PLEASE NOTE: This position can be based in Denver or Los Angeles (no exceptions - the expectation is to work some days in the office)

This position is responsible for:

  • Providing recommendations for development of new plans or modifications to existing programs, administrative policies and practices
  • Contributing to the development, design and maintenance of the job description and evaluation process. Ensures accurate job documentation, salary market competitiveness and internal equity for Company positions
  • Participating in third party or custom salary surveys to identify and track the relevant labor market.
  • Consulting with business leaders in areas such as job classification, incentive compensation and salary administration programs. Provide guidance and direction on complex or unusual situations and policy interpretations
  • Developing and conducting presentations for leaders in matters related to compensation projects
  • Using analytics to monitor the effectiveness of existing Compensation plans, policies, and administrative procedures
  • Determining the effectiveness of existing Compensation plans, policies, and administrative procedures
  • Ensuring compensation standards comply with company policies, legislation and/or other regulations
  • Monitoring exceptions to policy
  • Establishing pay structures to support compensation philosophy
  • Monitoring minimum wage and ensures compliance
  • Collaborating with Payroll to ensure Payroll system accurately administers pay policies
  • Recommending policy and process changes when necessary
  • Collaborating with Finance and Payroll to ensure the accurate calculation and distribution of incentive payments
  • Assisting with administration of equity plans
  • Evaluating the cost of living and administers per policy
  • Providing recommendations, guidelines, or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related matters to support the organization
  • Providing design consultation for sales and crew incentive programs.
  • Developing responses to requests for information and audits from external vendors, etc

What you need to bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of compensation experience (with background in restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry - preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in related area - preferred
  • Strong MS Excel (Pivot tables, vLookUp, Macros)
  • Strong knowledge of ADP (highly preferred)
  • Able to analyze complex data and develop recommendations and solutions
  • Desire to take ownership of a project and ability to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly
  • Strong time management and project management skills efficiently working with deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with impeccable attention to detail
