$18.25 starting pay (50 cent added if bilingual) plus $1000 HIRING BONUS*

First Transit is seeking full time Dispatchers for our Downtown Denver, Colorado call center location that serves as the dispatch center for the RTD access-A-ride program! In this position, you will dispatch vehicles and drivers using a state of the art computerized dispatch system to assure that all passenger pickups and returns are made in a timely, safe and efficient manner. We hire individuals who make customer service and passenger safety their top priorities. Dispatcher Responsibilities:

  • We operate a 24-hr dispatch operation. Overnight shifts of 7 pm to 6 am are available
  • Oversight of service delivery that is assigned to various access-A-ride service providers.
  • Track trip performance measures, route start time, service delivery and performance, safety incidents, etc.
  • Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
  • Manages emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
  • Manage all aspects of daily service delivery. Respond to service issues as they occur.

Dispatcher Experience & Skills:

  • Previous Call Center and Dispatch experience preferred but not required
  • At least 1 year of customer service work
  • Ability to type 35 wpm and good ten key skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communications skills, both oral and written. Strong phone skills and interpersonal skills
  • Solve customer service issues in real time involving calls from customers and operators on the road
  • Position requires extended sitting and computer use in an office environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 19 years old with a High School Diploma or GED
  • Exceptional customer service skills with professional, customer-focused telephone etiquette
  • Able to multitask
