About the Role
You will conduct field audits/inspections and reporting on the borrowing base assets of borrowers or prospective borrowers. You will review and analyze support information such as financial statements as well as conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance.
Qualified candidates aren't afraid to identify risk, be transparent about what they find, and recommend the right solutions. You should be an effective communicator with strong business acumen, a critical thinker, and able to constructively challenge and improve what we do and how we do it. Success is getting to the root of the cause, so there are no repeat issues.
What You Can Expect
You will be tasked with having a certain level of independence and productivity. You will advise appropriately to add value during the audit. This position allows you the opportunity to work with several internal business partners. You are not confined to one area as most audits/inspections are done on-site and in person.
Good planning, preparation, research, and analysis are critical to your success. You take part in special projects as directed by management and research current industry, financial reporting and regulatory issues to build upon knowledge base and develop a basis for identifying trends.

How You'll Spend Your Time
* You will schedule and conduct field audits, floor plan inspections, and other necessary inspections.
* You will analyze audit information and prepare reports of audit findings. These will include customer operations, receivables, payables, inventories, procedures and accounting practices, etc.
* You will work closely with the lender and the client to ensure that you have all necessary documentation and paperwork for you to complete the audit.

ACCOUNTING & CREDIT: You have strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting and credit principles, lending functions, loan analysis, and a thorough understanding and application of the bank's commercial asset lending policies and procedures.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDER: You enjoy building relationships with internal and external clients.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: You are proficient in Excel, and learn systems and applications quickly.
COMMUNICATION: You are an excellent writer and speaker with the ability to build relationships with clients and coworkers.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting and 1-2 years of asset lending control experience OR equivalent work experience of 7-8 years in closely related field.
* Thorough knowledge of accounting, credit and collateral documentation.
* Working knowledge and understanding of commercial lending policy and procedures.
* Good analytical and research skills needed to read and interpret financial data obtained from customers and through field audits.
* Working knowledge of business operational procedures, i.e., accounts receivable, payable, and inventory control.
* Good knowledge and understanding of commercial lending policy and procedures.
* Excellent oral and written communications skills.
* Excellent PC and spreadsheet software skills.
