Overview:
The Job in a Nutshell:The Production Artist and Sign Job Coordinator is responsible for the creation and distribution of all sale tags, ad-hoc sign requests, large format in-store signs, the monthly sign job menu and ensuring the monthly sign job gets to the printer on time. They are the final check that all monthly sign job art files are print ready and appropriate quantities are ordered based on inMotion requests. They are also responsible for picking up any graphic design projects that need to be completed, changed, etc. This role is based in the marketing department and collaborates with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:
Main Ingredients: Responsible for creation and distribution of monthly sale tags.Manage monthly sign job ensuring all materials are included and accurate quantities are ordered based on inMotion requests.Responsible for delivery monthly sign job art files to the printer in a timely manner ensuring files are print ready.Review all sign job and one-off print invoices ensuring accuracy. Organize and archive those invoices once approved.Assist stores in tracking of sign job and one-off materials.Order new store sign kits and communicate any date/timing changes with the printerPick up and edit or design marketing collateral (digital and print) based on the look and feel of established marketing campaigns Edit and crop photography for use across web, social, and email as neededDevelop relationships with and be the main liaison between printers, vendors and suppliers; communicate and address any production issues in a timely manner Provide pre-press design services for all marketing and in-store materials, including marketing collateral, educational materials, calendars, out-of-home, product labels, in-store signage, direct mail, and promotional materialDevelop pricing sheets and serve as a purchasing agent for all local store marketing materials; work to secure and approve the best possible pricing and service from external vendors on print jobsWork with our Digital Asset Manager to ensure all logos, signs, and templates on the DAM are up-to-date and that established naming conventions are being followedMaintain a master list of all signs typically required for use in new store kits and inspections.Maintain approved templates for all customary signs used at SSC and in-stores Be process-oriented and innovative; develop new workflows that prioritize efficiency, accuracy, and cost savingsPromptly respond to all requests for signage throughout the day Correct errors and omissions as needed; archive ongoing issues and report to appropriate supervisor to correct repetitive delays and errors.Cross-train to proficiency on all programs and processes to ensure continuity of sign production during PTO.Maintain adequate stocks of hardware and other supplies to support new store openings.Maintain open communication with stores via phone, e-mail and SharePoint about new signs, changes, deadlines, etc.Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be hands on and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.

Qualifications:
Recipe for Success:Minimum of 4 years print production or production design preferredGraphic design experience preferredPhoto, video, and motion graphics skills preferred Experience with out-of-home and large-format design preferredExcellent communicator who is able to juggle multiple tasks, projects, and last-minute urgent requests throughout the daySkilled at working with internal or external customers interpreting and developing customer design ideas.Software: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Office 365 (Xcel import to InDesign preferred).Proficient with InDesign Data Merge scripts and execution Familiar with Digital Asset Management systemsProficient with Microsoft office, OneDrive, and Sharepoint.Familiar with database-driven imposition methods to populate pre-press files.Able to write and proof for spelling, grammar, math, and graphic communication.Ability to understand and implement proofing protocols in cross-department environment.Ability to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently Able to manage changing timelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple customersThis job description is not an employment contract.
