This role sits within "Corporate Functions". The engine of Funding Circle - we keep the business running. Whatever the discipline, we turn dreams into reality and help small businesses to win.

What will you be doing?

As a Staff Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance Team, reporting to the US Controller. This is a great fit for a candidate ready to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment and who is looking for opportunities to build, learn, and grow. This role will be responsible for key operational aspects of the Finance team, including those listed below.

Process accounts payable using Bill.com, including verification of new vendors, and annual form 1099s
Administer employee expense reports in Concur and train new users
Enter semi-monthly and special payrolls into Paylocity, including recording and reconciling stock options
Initiate bank transactions and reconcile complicated bank accounts
Post intercompany recharges
Complete general ledger account reconciliations and report on month-end results
Assist with special projects

Are you?

Extremely detail-oriented
Someone who possesses a solid grasp of accounting principles, including debits and credits, sales and use tax, etc.
Familiar with banking transactions, including chargebacks and misdirected funds
Able to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that is constantly evolving
A fast learner, able to understand the company's business model and cash flows
A self-starter, able to work independently without direct supervision
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or 3+ years of experience working in a similar role
Experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, and Concur preferred
Familiarity with Fintech or financial services is a plus!

*Colorado Only* Base Salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 + equity + benefits (if applicable bonus or equity for leaders)
