JOB SUMMARY

Leadsvarious federal and state regulatory matters related tothecompany's natural gasandnatural gas liquids pipelines,processing facilitiesand marketing activities. Supports and enhances companywide culture of compliance through process improvements, cross-functional relationships and implementation of regulatory compliance strategies.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Coordinates, preparesandsubmitstariffs,reportsandvarious filingswith the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state regulatory agencies
  • Understands, analyzes, and draftstariff provisions for natural gas pipeline and natural gas liquids pipelines to supportthecompany's commercial and regulatory objectives
  • Developscomprehensivedetailedrate,financial and volume schedules to support pipeline rate case filings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains and advancespersonal in-depth understanding of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regulations governing natural gas and natural gas liquids pipelines
  • Researches, reviews, and analyzesfederal and state regulations, precedents,and trends and communicatesfindings to key internal stakeholders to support compliant business strategy and decisions
  • Interacts, communicates, and coordinateswith internal personnel to achieve regulatory compliance requirements
  • Monitors, analyzes, and summarizesregulatory actions, filings,and proposed rulesthat couldpotentially impact the company at federal, state and local levels
  • Developsinternal regulatory compliance training functions including preparation of training materials, coordination of training, maintenance of records,and related matters
  • Preparesregulatory filings, interventions,protests, reports andrulemakingcommentsincluding comprehensive research, analysis,and drafting of pleadings and schedules to support company objectives
  • Improvesinternal practices to streamline and improveregulatory complianceprocessesin coordination with other departments
  • Advancescomprehensive, expert understandings of regulations and assigned responsibilities to identify and implement compliance and process improvements across departments
  • Maintains and enhancesregulatory compliance schedulesand processes
  • Provides guidance, oversight, and coaching to lower level team members
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree inBusiness, Accounting, Economicsor a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of5years related experience is required although employees typically have7-12years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities with great attention to detail
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travelmaybe required.
