Functional Responsibilities:

ISYS Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator

Clearance:

Secret

Job Duties:

Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems, virtual computer systems, COTS software products, and perform system administration

Responsible for monitoring and correcting system performance issues, backing up and restoring files, patching system, and operating system software, maintaining software licenses and assisting the Information Assurance (IA) Team with account management and system vulnerability management

Work closely with the customer and peer personnel to accomplish responsibilities

Provide on-the-job training on system configuration, assist in deploying software/hardware deliveries, support special projects, and assist operational crews and contractor teams in resolving system and network issues

The SA will assist the IA team by providing access to system logs, instructions for monitoring user accounts, and identifying and responding to security issues/incidents

Experience Requirements:

RedHat Linux / Microsoft Windows and database administrator experience, preferably with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB is a plus

Minimum 18 years experience with an advanced degree or 20 years experience with a Bachelors degree

Knowledge of / basic understanding of IBM AIX and Cisco IOS

Knowledge/experience with CI/CD pipeline systems, virtualization, and software environment development is highly preferred

Desired Requirements:

Satellite ground system experience

The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
