The Steamboat Grand Hotel is currently looking for a day shift Maintenance Technician with a mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and use technology, and must have a valid driver's license. The position will perform work indoors and outdoors, the ideal applicant must work best in all kinds of weather conditions. The day shift will be from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
- Monitor, respond, evaluate and complete facilities maintenance requests, respond to emergencies, assist other facilities maintenance technicians with work assignments and projects
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment and components
- Perform general organization, cleaning and grounds maintenance to provide a safe environment for guests and employees using the facilities
- Complete required record maintenance management documentation and purchase requests
- Must safely operate tools, equipment and company vehicles
Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:
- High school graduate or GED
- Must be minimum 18 years of age
- Proficiency with technology tools and software as required
- Knowledge of general commercial building systems, maintenance and repairs
- Commercial construction or facilities management experience preferred.
- Operating a vehicle could be a function of this position and will require the successful applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the Driver's Standards Policy that includes possessing a valid Driver's License and meet insurability standards
- Must interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC's Service Excellence standards
Physical Requirements:
- Must clearly speak and understand the English language
- Must stand for long periods of time
- Must be comfortable indoors and outdoors during inclement weather for long periods of time
Miscellaneous information:
- This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
- Position is required to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat area base hourly pay range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
