Job description

Vail Health is seeking HR professionals to join our team:

• Senior Compensation Analyst $40.88 - $61.31/hour

  • POSITION PURPOSE: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the position.
    • The Sr. Compensation Analyst supports the design, development and administration of the organizational compensation structures, policies and programs. Conducts compensation analysis across all entities of the organization and evaluates effectiveness of compensation programs.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maximum of ten functions in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
      1. Analyzes compensation data to identify and clearly communicate data-driven opportunities.

      2. Works collaboratively with Leadership and all members of the HR department to provide compensation expertise and guidance in support of strategic objectives.

      3. Evaluate compensation policies and programs to identify and generate competitive solutions to challenging compensation issues.

      4. Maintains the market pay database by preparing and submitting compensation survey data and updating database as market surveys are released.

      5. Conducts annual benchmark analysis and makes recommendations for position and structure movement to maintain competitive market position.

      6. Maintains job architecture and library and ensures data governance of job codes, job titles, salary ranges and other related compensation elements in the HRIS systems.

      7. Performs ad hoc position analysis using position descriptions and external/internal sources of data to deliver actionable guidance that is externally competitive, internally equitable and aligned with the compensation philosophy.

      8. In partnership with Leadership, manages and administers incentive programs including participant tracking, participant communication materials and payout processing.

      9. Assist in the development of organizational initiatives.

      10. Ensures compliance with applicable state and federal wage and hour legislation.

      11. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.

      12. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
    • Experience:
        • 4 years of experience in Compensation practices required.

        • 5 years of Human Resources experience preferred.

        • Healthcare experience preferred.

        • Strong analytical and project management skills.

        • Comfortable using market analysis tools and technology.

        • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    • License(s):
        • N/A
    • Certification(s):
        • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred

        • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred

    • Computer / Typing:
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.

• Total Rewards Specialist $27.23 - $40.85/hour

• HRIS Analyst $31.18 - $46.77/hour
