We have a seasoned leadership team focused on building out an exciting future for ZimVie we hope you'll consider being a part of it!Responsible for the preparation of external financial reports, performing US GAAP technical research and implementing new accounting standards. This position will be partially remote or onsite and can be located in Westminster, CO or Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Draft technical accounting memos and solve new accounting matters as we continue to scale, including leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and other technical accounting topics Support in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual earnings releases, periodic SEC filings, and regulatory disclosure. Assist in building out the SEC reporting function and process as a newly public company Prepare the quarterly and annual GAAP checklist Conduct research, interpretation, and implementation of authoritative and interpretive accounting guidance applicable to non-recurring transactions Partner with key functional business teams to collect information and documentation necessary to complete technical accounting analyses Support in external audit coordination and internal audit reviews Assist the compilation of quarterly Board and Audit Committee reporting Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for certain accounts This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and might not necessarily comprise all of the essential functions for purposes of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Expected Areas of Competence Technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and understanding of SEC financial reporting requirements. Highly detail oriented and organized. Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department. Demonstrates strong communication (oral and written) skills. In depth knowledge of US GAAP. Ability to explain complex accounting matters to non-financial business partners. Perform research of technical literature. Ability to work in a team-driven environment. Ability to multitask multiple projects and deliverables. Highly motivated, self-starter willing to deliver results and meet strict deadlines. Demonstrated characteristics of high potential for future development opportunities. Computer literate; intermediate to advanced Excel and Word required. Education/Experience Requirements B.S. in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Minimum of 3 years of US GAAP accounting experience with public company audit experience and corporate environments. 4+ overall years of experience required in accounting. 1 year SEC Reporting experience preferred.
