Job description
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst (Category Management Lead Analyst) will be accountable for assigned sourcing activities to negotiate contracts and conduct competitive bids for the purchase of services to support the Learning Services category for the Human Resources team. This will include market analysis, RFI/RFP's, direct supplier negotiations, and contract redlining. The Analyst will leverage industry knowledge, structure of related contracts, as well as Cigna Global Procurement processes in order to select the external provider that will meet the needs of Cigna, while optimizing costs.
Primary Duties:
- Lead small and medium sized sourcing projects and cross-functional project teams
- Support large projects, as required
- Negotiate contract terms and contract development
- Work with Cigna business partners to determine contract requirements and process improvement opportunities
- Keep up to date on related industries, suppliers, and sourcing best practices to define alternative supplier relationship structures and pricing models
Expected Deliverables:
- Development and negotiation of contracts - inclusive of leading redlining activity with internal and external partners
- Drive cost savings and value for internal business partners
- Effective management of business requirements
- Drive appropriate measures into engagements to ensure quality delivery
Functional Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, coordinate, and redline contracts with suppliers
- Review and revise contracts, SLAs, deliverables, Change Orders, and Statements of work to optimize value and mitigate risk to Cigna
- Provide analysis and support of business decision making to align with Cigna Corporate Initiatives
- Drive internal and external adherence to Cigna's sourcing policies and procedures
- Establish role as a valued business advisor to business partners
- Function as a valued member of the Global Procurement team
Qualifications:
- BA / BS in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement/Sourcing, Project Management, Human Resources, Operations, or related field
- 3-5 years Strategic Sourcing and Category Management experience
- Experience using Procurement software, preferably Ariba
- Strong negotiation and listening skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong customer service experience in dealing with internal business partners
- Efficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong time management skills; highly organized and detailed oriented
- Strong analytical, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes
- Cross-functional business team environment experience with an ability to foster working relationships across departments
This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
