It is also the fastest growing hospital in Connecticut today.The Human Resources Representative provides support for HR processes and services at the Fairfield Region and acts as a liaison between employees and the HR Service Center. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:

  • Respond to and triage all HR inquiries such as basic policy interpretation and first level progressive discipline guidance to managers, stay interviews and exit interviews. Maintain confidentiality on all HR-related matters.
  • Administer verification of required licenses and certifications. Communicate with leaders and employees to ensure timely renewals and compliance with state and local requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of employee file maintenance and postings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with various HR requests, which includes collecting and compiling HR metrics and reports and publishing and maintaining HR policies
  • Process unemployment requests and inquiries in a timely manner
  • Act as a liaison between employees and the HHC Employee Service Center (i.e., KRONOS/payroll, benefits, compensation, central leave, talent acquisition)
  • Assist Onboarding & Orientation Coordinator with all aspects of onboarding new hire colleagues and in partnership with Talent Acquisition to ensure a best in class new hire experience. Ensure I-9 compliance. Assist with organizing and delivering new hire orientation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the colleague experience. Learn and apply LEAN methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of HR programs and services.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
  • One to three years of general business experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant HR experience
Additional Requirements:
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Working knowledge of HR related laws and regulations
  • Exceptional communication and customer service orientation
  • Self-directed and motivated with the ability to prioritize
  • Strong problem solving skills and process improvement mindset
  • Ability to uphold strict confidentiality of HR information
  • Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
