Buyer

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders from initial preparation to final verifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review purchasing needs from tooling, raw materials, office and shop floor supplies.
• Monitor internal inventory levels.
• Issue RFQ's to review for pricing and delivery of all purchased goods.
• Work with engineering to find comparable alternatives when products are out of stock.
• Work with setup team leads to research tooling options when preparing parts for first time runs and also when troubleshooting machining issues is needed.
• Schedule delivery of available stock items under blanket orders.
• Collaborate with suppliers to recommend substitute items for fast-selling inventory.
• Forward purchase orders to suppliers to ensure proper inventory.
• Verify product shipments by comparing purchase order against package list.
• Create/update tool sheets for production use to list all tooling needed for each job.
• Assemble tool kits using tool sheets based on scheduling and next job in line.
• Expedite and check status of parts at outside service.
  
• Work with AP to verify payments through an internal price list.
  
• Analyze, schedule, plan and control all inventory and purchased items based on your own collection, analysis and summarization of data and trends.

Job Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent certifications
• 3+ years in manufacturing industry required.
• Experience with inventory management
• Customer service experience preferred
