Responsibilities:
* Work in partnership with leadership to communicate and implement HR programs that support business goals and drive results.
* Responsible for effective execution of all Human Resources processes, including the Leadership Development Review, Performance Management, salary planning, etc.
* Ensure proper staffing level, infuse talent into the organization and improve bench strength.
* Counsel employees on performance, career planning, work/life balance and other topics.
* Objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues.
* Consult with clients to understand training and development needs, and advise accordingly.
* Advise managers on compensation-related decisions to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
* Counsel managers through challenging performance management situations. Support managers in developing and communicating plans to address areas of improvement.
* Assist and coach managers regarding employee relations, interviewing and selection, performance management and employee development.
* Provide strategic counsel regarding employee engagement trends/data to employee engagement survey teams and organizational leaders.
* Supervise, develop, and coach other human resources representatives in the organization.
* Manage the handling of contract grievances, employee discipline under the collective bargaining agreements.
* Provide advice, guidance and training in labor relations activities to cell leaders and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience working with Senior Executives, influencing HR practices effectively across all levels of the organization.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
* Ability and demonstrated skills leading change through organization in HR roles.
* Experience in managing conflict
* Multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, adaptive, and work effectively in a time sensitive and vibrant environment
* Strong negotiation skills and experience in handling conflict and diffusing difficult situations
* Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, arbitration procedures and the ability to analyze labor issues and apply the agreements to those issues.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or comparable applications.
Education Certification
5-10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in HR in areas such as employee relations, labor relations, staffing recruiting, training and development, or compensation planning.
Bachelor's degree required, Human Resources or related field preferred; MA/MS/MBA in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in Labor Relations, Labor contract administration including grievance handling and the presentation of arbitration cases.
* US Person (Citizen or Perm Green Card Holder) due to government program requirements
