As Manager, Advisory you are responsible for managing complex, multi-month projects, including developing the scope and timeline and overseeing the execution plan across IR Advisory, Investor Day, Perception Study and/or Special Situation client engagements. Managers play an important role in 1) ensuring each client engagement, including all deliverables, is executed with precision and to specification, as well as on time and on budget and 2) consistently delivering an overall excellent client experience.
Additional responsibilities include providing pertinent strategic recommendations, research, and client intel and information to the Client Lead Advisor / Team Lead / Supervisor to effectively provide relevant guidance to the client, as well as training junior colleagues.
General Responsibilities
· Learn and deploy Corbin's project management playbook
· Oversee client engagements from start to finish, including project scope, due diligence, talent management, scheduling, and deliverables
· Prepare for and lead client meetings and deliver on project deadlines, including developing agendas and scheduling; leading internal alignment calls; participating in and/or leading leadership discovery calls; overseeing and/or developing deliverables; incorporating Corbin research and recommendations
· Oversee internal execution of all associated project deliverables; inform internal resources with applicable tasks and milestones
· Proactively identify and elevate project risks and/or client business/organizational changes that may impact client relationship and/or engagement deliverables and recommended risk mitigation plan
· Leverage all available resources, such as Research Center of Excellence, client deliverables, executed as part of separate work scopes (e.g., Perception Study, Targeting Analysis, Post-event Surveys, Earnings Q&A, QSRs and Quarterly Targeting Updates to provide strategic guidance to clients and/or Lead Client Advisor
· Ensure client engagement deliverables and overall experience meet Valued Impact Performance Score (VIPS) targets
· Train and mentor team members
· Be responsive, accessible, and add value in everything you do when engaging with our clients; go the extra mile
Qualifications
· Superior organizational skills and ability to lead multiple, complex projects at a time
· Ability to execute in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple
· deadlines
· Strong client relationship building and internal team engagement skills
· Executive presence to interact with senior business leaders
· Ability to leverage relevant technology platforms to which Corbin subscribes
· Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
· Bachelor's degree
· 5+ years relevant work experience; capital markets, investor relations and/or sell-side background preferred
· Experience in a client-facing consulting role a plus
