We are searching for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer - EW Hardware Engineering at our Groton, CT location.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
A Systems Engineer, also known as lead systems analyst, a network engineer who can also program, or a software engineer who can also manage networks, is an IT professional who oversees the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. These products are often sophisticated systems that run on the web. The systems engineer is responsible to integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices. Duties of a systems engineer typically include managing the development cycle associated with producing a resilient software, hardware and web application, including: specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance. Systems engineering is like putting together a puzzle, matching varied pieces together to make one cohesive whole. Systems engineers are concerned with the "big picture" of a project in addition to technical aspects and must consider details like cost, schedules and social issues that may be associated with a project.

Eligibility Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering is required.
Experience: 7+ years' of related experience. U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret or higher clearance are required. Candidates should have a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Technology; experience with design, development, and maintenance of Electrical, Mechanical, and Electro-Mechanical systems and subsystems; proficient in ECAD (EAGLE, OrCAD, or equivalent), 2D/3D MCAD (Solidworks, AutoCAD, or equivalent), and Finite Element Analysis (SOLIDWORKS Simulation, COSMOSWorks, or equivalent); understanding of Environmental Qualification Testing requirements including MIL-S-901 (shock), MIL-S-810 (vibration), and MIL-STD-461 (EMI); experience with formal drawing package requirements to MIL-STD-31000 and ASME Y14.100; knowledge of processes and procedures associated with an ISO9001, AS9100, or similar Quality Management System including continual improvement, material traceability, and failure analysis; involvement with project management including requirements tracking, staffing, and budget management; and, familiarity with Submarine Imaging and Electronic Warfare Systems is a plus.
