The BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERN will support the regional business development team with organizational growth priorities through competitive intelligence research, market research and analysis, and the development of business plans with identified specialty programs and services.

_Primary duties to include, but not limited to:_

- Research new business opportunities in key Northeast and Southeast markets, such as Pennsylvania, and create business plans detailing potential prospects including key stakeholder engagement and potential timelines.
- Collaborate with the corporate product development team to understand new and priority products to assist in opportunity development in identified key markets.
- Research competitors and develop a comprehensive competitive intelligence report that details their markets, products, and new approaches.
- Research behavioral health service delivery innovations through publicly available sources (e.g. CMS, Open Minds, HMA, etc.) and develop a summary report to assist in new program development.
- Support the Business Development team as needed with client meeting materials and other sales support

_Functions for this role:_ Project Management, Health Care Industry Research and Strategy Conceptualization, Competitive Intelligence, Communication, Collaboration within a Highly-Matrixed Organization

QUALIFICATIONS

- Pursuing a Masters in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or Public Policy
- Advance computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft applications including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Highly proficient in analytics, communication, leadership, and presentations.
- Project management experience preferred
- Basic understanding of behavioral health, healthcare insurance, and/or publicly funded health care programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, preferred
- The internship will be remote but location within the Northeast preferred
