Job Overview
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration to fill an open Project Management Engineer position in our Program Management Services Division. This position will be located at our Client's East Hartford, CT office.

The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.

The Project Management Engineer (PME) is required to coordinate a multi-disciplined team and will be assigned to manage multiple natural gas utility infrastructure projects. As the leader of the project team, required competencies include: capital planning, quality assurance, budgeting, scheduling, tracking and cost control methods, procurement coordination and construction management (budget and schedule management), based on proven best management practices and relevant experience. The PME is also responsible for the preparation of project charters, and project management plans in accordance with PMI standards, including the coordination of technical, quality assurance, and safety plans. The PME will be required to build productive relationships with all team members and client representatives, while ensuring that high quality deliverables are provided in accordance with commitments made to the client throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least five (5) years of experience in managing natural gas/underground utility or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with Quality Management System Standards (i.e. ISO-9001, TS-16949, etc)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from PMI or the ability to obtain within nine months of hire; this is a non-negotiable condition of employment.
  • SAP experience preferred.
