Job description
Overall Objective:
Design, implement and maintain WAN\LAN network operations relating to data connectivity, configuration and security including installations of hardware/software and coordination of upgrades. Design and implement infrastructure enhancements and security controls for internal and perimeter facing systems. The role will require working closely with business units, risk management and vendors with reviewing and implementing solutions for internal and customer facing technologies
Essential Functions:
- Broad experience with Cisco network technologies.
- Experience managing security devices including firewalls, VPN, IPS\IDS and NAC solutions.
- Experience with wireless environments, configuration, monitoring and installation.
- Provide network infrastructure configuration, support and security services.
- Develop and maintain network standards based on industry best practices.
- Provide top tier level troubleshooting support of systems and networks.
- Solid understanding of IP principles; Subnetting/Routing.
- Perform routine computer/server and network systems maintenance.
- Network management and performance monitoring to optimize utilization, QOS, etc.
- Develop and maintain appropriate system and infrastructure documentation.
- Knowledge of cloud based solutions, SSO configuration, IAAS
- Experience with end point security solutions
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Evaluates and recommends hardware and software for system security enhancements, upgrades and future projects.
- Provides software installation, configuration, updates and performance tuning of networking devices.
- Manages system resources and supervises system operation. Monitors performance and assist with disaster recovery planning.
- Track information generated by systems to create ad hoc reports for management and audit groups.
- Member of the on-call duty rotation, responsibilities include evaluating and responding to network alerts and performing after hours site visits to diagnose problems and implement solutions with minimal disruption to users or customers.
- Prepares and maintains systems documentation.

No. Users: 700+, Hardware/Software, Routers & Switches, Wireless solutions, remote access, virtual environment and related LAN/WAN equipment, Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP etc.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Language, reasoning, and analytical skills normally acquired through completion of Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent professional work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience supporting a multi-vendor network operating system environment and managing medium to large networks on a day to day basis.
- Ability to work independently and to solve problems quickly and completely.
- Windows domain environment installation proficiency is required.
- Working knowledge of data communication and security principles, Ethernet networking architecture, systems and network troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Design 1. Develops the Bank's microcomputer network including hardware and
software to ensure an efficient information and reporting system.

of PC/LAN technical environment.

updated developments as appropriate.
Training 4. Provides effective training and guidance to Database Administrators, PC
Systems Administrators, and Internet/Intranet Administrators.
Testing 5. Tests new technologies and develops recommendations for implementations.
Supervisory 6. Exercises effective management and supervisory skills in the areas of
performance appraisal, counseling, career development, and related
personnel matters.
