Meyer Jabara Hotels Corporate Office in Danbury, CTis looking for TWO General Accountants to join their Accounting team - Full Time.Do you have what it takes to Journey with Meyer Jabara? Deliver the Cash - With your proven record of success, you will aid the hotels with their bank and balance sheet reconciliations as well as all other matters of general accounting.

Deliver the Promise - You are a visionary and innovator and work your passion for hospitality in everything that you do. You understand what it entails to be an accountant within the hospitality industry and know how to engage with hotel teams in order to meet financial deadlines.

You are part of a Team - At Meyer Jabara You are not a leader of a herd but part of an amazing flock! You will form part of our Corporate Accounting team and work with your peers to deliver financial statements, end of month reporting and any other accounting functions that will be required in your role.

This rolerequires 2 -3 yearsof progressive experience in hotel accounting roles. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.Ability to process and work with financials, P&L and organizing reports for ownership & Corporate. Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of actions quickly and accurately. This job requires light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently - with a regular need to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Long hours, many of which may be spent sitting or standing, often required. This role will require the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach, while working under variable temperatures and noise levels, both outdoors and indoors, and around chemicals, fumes, odor hazards, dust and mite hazards.
