Robert Half is currently searching for a highly-skilled candidate to fill a hybrid remote/in person Human Resources Assistant opening. In addition to being in charge of a number of different personnel related administrative tasks, the Human Resources Assistant will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This opening is with an organization in the New Haven, Connecticut area and is a long-term contract to hire position. You must be commutable to New Haven.

• Research the internet to uncover potential customers
• Update employee database logs
• Partake in planning new employee orientation meetings
• Oversee office and administrative tasks
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
• Skilled with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
• Microsoft Excel experience desired
• Adeptness in customer service
• Strong familiarity with HRIS
• Data entry experience highly desired
• Microsoft Word experience required
• General familiarity with Record Keeping
• Demonstrated knowledge of Conducts new-Employee Orientations
• Human Resources (HR) Administration experience
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
• Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
• Approachable and appropriate interacting with staff at all levels in a rapidly changing environment
