Job Description

We are searching for a Human Resources Generalist to become a part of our quickly growing team. The role requires working with the Controller, Accounting Manager and Payroll department as an integral part of a pleasant and efficient office. As our only full time HR professional you will have the opportunity to help improve our organizational effectiveness, HR compliance, and communications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as an HR Generalist and be a self-starter and out-of-the-box thinker.

Requirements

  • Minimum three to five years HR experience required
  • Current knowledge of federal, state, local employment labor and payroll laws
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Payroll a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional HR support
  • Assist with ADP Workforce Now Payroll and the HR process within ADP
  • Understand and apply company HR policies and procedures for CT, NY, and MA
  • Maintain employee files
  • Benefits administration
  • Onboard new hires
  • Ensure company compliance with legal, HR, and payroll requirements
  • Provide required training
  • Update company policies to ensure continued compliance with requirements
  • Promote our positive company culture, values and policies
  • Assist with management's performance procedures
  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
  • Assist with recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, testing, and issuing employment offer letters
  • Process Workers Comp claims with Insurance Company
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Advocate for employee retention and development
  • Help coordinate mandatory federal and state EEOC and BLS filings
  • Assist in maintaining Employee Census
  • Assist with annual open enrollment
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
